Nutella Football Pancakes

Nutella Football Pancakes

Who’s ready for Super Bowl Sunday? We are big football fans and the Super Bowl is always an exciting day in our home. Even though our team completely bombed this year (Giants fans, you feel me?), we are still excited to see which teams make it and cheer them on. It’s a whole day celebration, starting with breakfast. The kids will get a “kick” out of these pancakes!

I make the pancakes with an easy pre-made mix and prepare the batter according to the box instructions while getting my griddle nice and hot. Let the batter sit for a minute, then spoon the batter onto the hot griddle into a football shape. Wait for the batter to start bubbling, flip the pancakes and cook them for another minute or until they are golden.

Spoon some Nutella into a plastic sandwich bag and cut a tiny hole in one of the corners (or use a piping bag if you have one). Squeeze the Nutella onto the pancakes in the design of football laces.

Serve with whip cream, syrup, strawberries, or whatever your family likes!

Turkey Bacon Mac & Cheese with Peas

This is one the kids and grown ups will both love! This would make a great lunch for the kids or a complete meal for the whole family! It’s super simple to make, thanks again to Wildtree and their amazing Kids Cheez Blend. Let me tell you, this stuff is life changing! It has the same taste as the mac & cheese that kids love without the guilt of feeding them ingredients you can’t pronounce. It is all natural and gluten free and can be used to top veggies or whatever you’d like. You can really get creative with this stuff!

Beet Citrus Pink Pancakes

Your family will love waking up to these pretty pink pancakes on Valentine’s Day morning! The pink color comes from Wildtree’s Beet Citrus Dressing & Marinade. The color of the dressing is so intense that you’ll only need a couple of tablespoons. It adds an extra sweet flavor to the pancakes and makes them so delicious! Proof that kids (or non-beet-loving adults) will love these pancakes….

Kids’ Lunch Wrap

My 3 year old loves having these for lunch! It’s a perfect wrap for kids because it’s small enough to fit into their little hands. It’s not overly stuffed, so kids won’t have a hard time holding onto it or worrying about everything falling out. Although there isn’t a lot of stuff inside, it’s packed with protein, veggies, and will fill up their little bellies!  This would also make a great snack wrap for adults!

Chicken & Peas Alphabet Soup

This is a great make-ahead meal to store in the freezer and have on hand when the kids are hungry! I remember this being one of the freezer meals  I prepped right before having my son, for when we’d be home with a newborn and no time to cook. At the time my daughter was 2 and she loved this soup, so I made a batch of it for future meals for her. I would just take it out of the freezer, thaw it, and cook the alphabet pasta right in there…so easy….easy is needed with a toddler and newborn!

Butternut Squash Pastina

Babies just starting out with solid foods, toddlers, kids, and full grown adults can all enjoy this meal. It really is for everyone! When my kids were babies, I always made them homemade baby food. Pastina is one of the foods I used to feed them. It’s soft and tiny enough for them to mush together with their little gums. The butternut squash gives them the veggies they need and they will love the sweet flavor! But like I said, it’s not just for babies! I made this for my family and we all enjoyed it with a salad on the side.
